While not as well known as Waikiki or the North Shore, Oahu’s southeast and east (Windward) shore beaches are worth exploring. Windward means the eastern side of the island as wind blows east to west on Hawaii. The area also receives more rainfall than other parts of Oahu, creating lusher, greener views.
Visitors to Kauaʻi who stay in “resort bubble” hotels (Enhanced Movement Quarantine properties) and receive a negative pre-travel test, as well as a post-travel test three days after arrival will be released from the mandatory 10-day traveler quarantine.
As COVID-19 rates continue to soar across the country, Hawaii has seen an increase in cases over the past couple of weeks that has tightened restrictions. Those traveling to Hawaii need to plan ahead and be prepared for this measures.
